We are pleased to confirm that our new Clinical System (called system One)  in the practice is now up and running from 18/10/2016. This should help us in maintaining our records better and work more effectively to meet care needs of our patients.

****Our Half Day is changing from Thus to Wed (w.e.f 03/10/2016)****

In a drive to balance out our demand of appointments we have decided to change our half day from Thu to Wed. This change will take effect from week commencing 03/10/2016. 

From week commencing 03/10/2016, our new timings will be:

Wed: 9am-1pm

Thu: 9am-06:30pm.

Dr M Imam will be now working full day on Thu. Number of appointments offered will remain unaffected with this change.

N.B Our Patient Group has been consulted about this change and we will monitor the impact of this change. We expect this change will help us meeting patient expectations in terms of having appointments when they are needed more.

Care Quality Commission (CQC) Inspection for the surgery announced for 23rd Sep 2016.

CQC has contacted the practice to notify the Inspection of the practice for 23/09/2016, Friday.

We have received some comment cards from CQC which are available for patients to fill in and provide feedback to CQC. 

***Important Announcement about our Out Of Hour Service***

From 01/09/2016(08:00am) , we have contracted a different Out of Hours Provider, called Primecare and  arrangements with existing provider, called BADGER will come to an end on 01/09/2016 (7:59am).  

The new number to ring  for patients will be 01785 783459 effective from 01/09/2016, 8am. Please note only ring this number when surgery is closed.

Important Announcement About our Computer System Migration

We are really sorry to announce that due to some technical issues (beyond our control) our planned computer system migration scheduled for 09/08/2016 has been now postponed to 18/10/2016.  All practice services are running as normal and patient should remain unaffected. Thursday Closing Time

From 05/05/2016, please note surgery will be closed at 1pm rather 2pm on Thursdays.

The average pay for GPs working in Gate Medical Centre in the financial year (2014-15) was £68967.5 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 1 full time GP, 3 part time locum GPs and 1 Part Time Salaried GP who worked in the practice for more than six months.

Access

Wheelchair and disabled access is via the ramp from the main entrance. Please request a ramp to be in place by pressing the bell and reception staff will help you.  Wheelchairs can be parked in a designated place or can go in any of the consulting rooms. A disabled toilet is located in the corridor by doctor’s rooms.
